Tour being confirmed

its been so crazy over the last few months. We are mid way through confirming out theatre tour for the winter. we have some amazing venues, its all so exciting. The new show is coming together and we cant wait to unleash it at the festivals this summer. :-)

Bakewell festival

Hey, what a blast we had at the Bakewell acoustic festival. Fantastic crowd and nice to hang with Paul Young for a bit afterwards. Pictures to follow. The new "dream team was unreal to be a part of" Ben Holder (violin) Paul Jefferies (double Bass) and us. The place was rocking. We even took on a double "man on man" action. What a laugh!

IGGF festival and the cd release!!!

Hey All, what a blast we have had. firstly we got pushed into a corner and had to finish the Cd in time for the IGGF festival. that’s exactly what we needed because we have now finished and the first run was done. our set at the festival went down well with our new lineup (bass, 2x guitars and Ben Holder (other wise known to us as Bolder!!)). we totally sold out of all our cds and had to get a rush job done for last weekends festival "Gig in the Park". if you would like to get a copy (which we called "the collective, chapter I") go to the site www.gypsyfire.co.uk.
next gig this coming weekend is the Bakewell Acoustic Music Festival www.bamf.co.uk. sounds fun. we are supporting Paul Young on the Saturday night (Random!!!). ill get some pics for you all.

General update.

Hey all, the Oxford Jazz festival has put up some YouTube vids of our performance. Go check em out.
The Cd/DVD is now 75% finished. We are dying to get it out now. We have Ben Holden(Violin) on a few of the tracks which we recorded last week. We had a great laugh in the studio spending most of the time trying to put him off (what's that all about?). He managed to okay brilliantly regardless of our usual antics. A good day in the bag.
We now just need some ideas for the cover so any requests please shoot.

Oxford Jazz Festival

Well that was a fantastic festival. A really cool crowd and our performance sold out which was great news for the organizers (was nice to be headlining too). Onwards and upwards for us from here. lots more festivals later in the year and that illusive Cd/DVD is nearly in the can.

New Member

we have just recruted a new member to our ensemble. A young super talanted Violinist called Ben Holder. We love to push Gypsy Fire to be fresh and new for everyone who supports us and follows us from gig to gig. The time was right and we are really excited to see how this develops.

Drapers Fashion awards

Hey All
On wednesday we are all set to play at the Drapers fashion awards in the Grovsner London. There is going to be 900 guests that are going to be subjected to us before the Awards begin. How exciting.

Long day in front of the camera.

today we have been in the studio getting lots of new shots for our promo and for our Cd cover. it was good fun playing dress up with other peoples clothes. we have never been i so many different outfits in such a short spave of time. as soon as they come beck ill post a few to give you an idea. Laterz All.

Back in the Studio

The diary is filling up for 2010 and the Cd will be finished by the end of September all being well. We are looking for a classic anthem to cover so any sujestions please shoot.

GiG in the Park 09

Sponsored Links Bang & Olufsen Hey All That was a blast for sure. The gig in the park festival was fantastic. The drive was a little hardcore (4h 30 each way) but well worth it. The crowd where very cool and seemed to dig our music a lot. Ive put a few vids on youtube for y'all! Our newe management are doing a great job....Phew! onwards and upwards. Check out the Pimped out back stage bar. It felt like a 70s porn movie... living the dream huh?

A road trip across the UK

This week we are hitting the road, we have gigs in Taunton, Leicester and Great Yarmouth. That is a lot of driving but we always end up getting into some weird kinda adventure. Hopefully stories to follow.

We are now getting set to play at the International Gypsy Guitar Festival on the 25th July. We're on at 6pm so we hope to see you all there.

All good news with us. We have just signed to a management company called apero. We are all very excited about the next part of our journey.
Ben did brilliantly in the Iron Man and is still alive.

Crazy Week

What a mad week. We are doing a crazy run of 8 gigs in 7 days this week. i think this time next week we are going to be pooped! Still working on the new CD with a hope to it being on itunes by the end of May.

Good session

So basically we recorded all the tunes we want on the Cd and now we have made us all Cd's to listen to see if the choice of tracks fit together. We really want a good mix of technical, fast, slow moody etc numbers on the disc so its nicely paced for a commercial Cd. Our record label has taken a couple Ben and I have one each and we are all going to sleep with them for a week and have some kinda postmortem next week. Then its back in to start work on the tracks. We have a lot to do on these numbers because we are looking at some celebrity guest musicians. most live in the US so our label will be flying them in for the recordings so we all need to synchronize schedules (which is a nightmare all round). Fingers crossed we can get things going ASAP.

Snow in the UK

Well for those of you that are not in the UK its snowing today. its pretty much brought the country to a standstill. Schools are closing Motorways are blocked and there is general chaos all around. As for us, we are back into the studio tomorrow for our next installment of the forthcoming Cd. Its funny because its like being in a nuclear fall out shelter. once you go through the external 3 sets of doors you end up in a completely self sufficient controlled environment. People book this studio for a month at a time and just go in and come out when its all done. that is hardcore recording! we are lucky to just use the time when we feel ready to go. We are still busy doing shows up to 5 times a week so at least the credit crunch has kept away from us for the time being. must go but will do an update on wednesday to let you all know how the studio went. laterz

Back to earth with a bump!

Jet Lag! AAAAAAAAAAAAAaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Just back in the UK after a whirlwind US tour and the jet lag is kicking in. Either that or our last nights party at the House of Blues followed by Ivan Kane's Forty Deuces and a litre of vodka!! Hmmmm!

The tour was a blast shared with some very special friends and a heap of good music.

We started at the LA Namm show where we meet some really cool people including George Benson, Gene Simmons, Jonny 5 to name a few. We also hung with our buddies Mundo (Washburn, Disney) and Andreas Oberg (the big Swede).

Our gigs concluded with an action packed set at the House of Blues (Mandalay Bay Casino/Hotel) Las Vegas. What a great reception it was just like being at home.

The Cd has Landed! just in time!!

Today we finally got our Cd (check out the tracks on our Myspace). Well without sounding to conceited, its brilliant! The first of our 6 original compositions is in the can and we have already had some interest in the first 12 hours!! We just cant wait to hand it around all the famous musicians at the LA Namm show. We are now feeling much more confident about our management possibilities in LA. We are all set to get to Hollywood and turn some heads (and ears) with our music! World domination is now one step closer!! ;-)
